The process of Light Wand Extraction uses the light wand with either a truck mounted extraction unit or a portable extraction unit. Traditionally, the suction from a truck mounted extraction unit far exceeded that of portable units, but this is changing with the technological advances in some of the newly designed portable extraction units. The use of one over the other now is more of a matter of preference on averaged size jobs. Many companies still prefer the truck mounted units for large residential and commercial water damage projects.
